Brent Roe

     Thank you all for checking out our website for Bethany Baptist Church. I'm very excited to be serving Bethany Baptist as the Senior Pastor. Bethany is a very loving and ministry minded congregation that seeks to make much of our Lord Jesus Christ. My calling to ministry began years ago in college at Jacksonville State University where I served as the youth minister at Lakeview Baptist Church in Oxford, AL. While in college, I met my beautiful bride Dana Starling Roe and fell madly in love. After graduating from JSU, I moved to New Orleans, LA to attend New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. It was there that Dana and I were married and our first son, Noah, was born. After graduating from NOBTS with my Master of Divinity, we were called back to Jacksonville, AL where I served as Minister to Youth and College Students. My calling to college students began to ignite a passion for that ministry which led us to the University of Alabama where I served as an Alabama State Board of Missions Missionary for 10 years. Both Morgan and Parker were born in Tuscaloosa while we were serving there. From U of A, I pastored Big Sandy Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, then Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Albertville, and now to Bethany Baptist in Horton. 

     God has blessed Dana and I with everything that we have and everything that we are in Him. We consider ourselves very blessed to have great kids, who are all now young adults.  Currently our children are in different places around the state with Noah working in Oxford, AL, Morgan attending the University of Montevallo, and Parker in high school at Albertville High. Dana and I love working outside with Dana working with her plants and her garden and me cutting the grass. During my time off I like to hike, fish, ride bikes, camp, read books, drink coffee, and talk to people. If you are around the Douglas, Guntersville, Albertville, or Boaz area, please give me a call and we will sit and drink a cup of coffee. I'd love to listen to what God is doing in your life or share with you how God has blessed mine. I love a good cup of coffee and even have a coffee maker in my office if you would like to meet me at the church. 

     God has also blessed us with a great place to serve at Bethany Baptist Church. Make sure that you stop in and visit us sometime soon and experience the love of Christ through a group of people that truly love the Lord. Especially come to Bethany if you are looking for a home church where you can feel right at home worshipping and serving the Lord. I can't think of a better place to be than in the presence of the Lord at Bethany Baptist Church.
